Membership

The aim of the Artist's Co-op is to become an artistic force:

to aid professional artists to market and sell their work by providing community/plein air exhibition opportunities.

Through anecdotal evidence, it appears that artists seem to sell more artworks when we are demonstrating or present at exhibtions in an Artist-in-Residence capacity. We have a chance to get out into the community, meet people and tell our story and the story of our work. We feel more in control of the sales process when we’re able to talk directly with art lovers.

Our Vision
My vision for the Artist's Co-op is to use our membership to share costs eg rent/buy building and use as exhibition space and artists studio and workshop; share costs of advertising and marketing.

To seek out and participate in major fundraising events and provide plein air shows of interest eg Kumeu Art in the Garden.

To provide plein air/exhibition and sales opportunities to our members

Align ourselves with suppliers to get better buying rates.
